I still got no spark , so I want to know more about coilpack and ignitor...

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

The rb20 is still not doing any spark , I did the Z32 ptu conversion but with a used one.

I checked the ''E'' on the coilpack connector and its fine , got 11 volts at the ''+'' , this is fine too.

But on the ''--'' pin (whick I think is the negative who receive the signal) , there is almost no voltage while cranking .

It seen like another wrong igniter . Any other possiblity ? Any help would be great !

are you sure your getting power from purple/white wire to igntion relay, and then power to ignitior? power at coils?

Yes I do get 12 volts at the ''+'' pin on the coilpack 3 pin connector , the problem is the '' --'' pin .

There is almost anything there while cranking and I guess its my problem . I dont really know what I should read there but I guess atleast 5 volt everytime i reach combustion point ...

Im sure somebody know how to test the primary circuit at the coil pack ?!

I'll go by eliminations , maybe it could help cause i dont know what to look for...

Corect me if im wrong : My CAS is fine cause my injector are all working fine.

My ECU is ok too , cause my fuel pump prime , injectors work and I get 12v at my coils.

I just ordered a 3rd igniter...

Help !!

when you installed the z32 ignitor you did repin the plugs correct?

Yes , im pretty sure its ok ...

You also think that the igniter seem to be the problem ? , considering my computer can control eveything else corectly ( priming the fuel pump , injectors , etc )

You did swap the 6 and 7 pin connectors on the ignitor swap right? Can't just repin the one side and flip the ignitor around, that will fry the ignitor.

The 6 pin side is now on the 7 pin side and so on ..,I will take a picture tomorow , just to be sure ! about the ecu , what do you guys think ?

Hooray !! My Rb just started , the third igniter was the good one...! I have to wired up the maf and I'l be done ! Wow it feel so good to leave the Nrrba !

Im still going to change the ecu , i ordered a another one because the one I had first as been remanufactured and got a weird chip ....

Oem ftw on this one
