it's 2XULTRA liquid tide ...it went trough the carpeting all the way to the insulation foam.

I just finished cleaning the carpet but the insulation foam beneath it is gorged with tide and I don't know if I can just wash it. Seems like the foam is made just by compacting fibers together so it might not life trough a wash. Arg I'm soo pissed

I don't know if the foam would live through a wash. Look on the bright side of things though, your trunk will smell fresh and clean for years!

that sucks....

I guess one way is to take the foam out and put it out in the sun for a day or so to dry it. good luck bro.

tommorow I'll try to take out the insulation foam thing, and I'll put it in water (just the part that's filled with soap. and then I'll let every thing dry in the sun for the day)

It's not hard to take out the insulation around the spare tire dude. Just fold down the rear seat, throw the trunk carpet toward the back-seat, remove the ply-wood look piece, remove the jack, L key, spare tire and BAM you can remove the insulation. It's a 2 piece insulation which makes it easier for removal not one whole piece. Good luck dude.
