I went to a local shop and had my tails sprayed/clear coated.

They are so dark, which is what I wanted, that you can't see my brake lights and turn signals during the day.

So I need to get some super bright LED lights to fix my problem. I just want to confirm that I have the right ones selected.

I picked these out for the brake/parking light
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Brak ... sTabAnchor

And these out for the turn signal
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn ... 17548.html

Does it look like those will work?

I know the hub caps make the car epic fail... but I just got a side job doing some work for a neighbor that will give me enough cash to complete the rims/tires fund.

I think I'm going with 18in Tenzo Cuzco's all black. Feedback?

Thanks NICO!

i digg it man. i dunno about the leds (actually i didnt look at the links haha), but from a purely aesthetic point of view, those rims would look sick. nice tails too btw.

I'm not familiar with lights..but as for the rim..

I like the way it looks, and how clean it is. Personally I think less spokes is more my style but I think these look nice. My only concern is that it's all black. The all black rim..with black tires on a silver car, I feel like will be a clash on colors. :\ because..all the black is just too bold..I feel like if you went a little lighter it coulda been a more subtle bold..you know?

I mean maybe it was your point to make it bold and stand out...and if it was, then you can completely disregard my comment. haha

I hear you on the comment, but all black was my point haha. I just got back from a trip to Vienna and paid close attention to the rims on the cars out there and I became obsessed with black rims on gray cars. I can't remember who has them here but someone has black chrome rims on a precision gray altima and they look awesome. now these arent black chrome but I think they should look good too, atleast I hope so.

thanks for the feedback!

Oh lol. Haha nvm then!! I think I figured out how to explain what I wanted to say earlier in a better way. What I meant by the black was that the contrast is too..uneven? Like there's a lot of silver and a little black. I was jus thinking that maybe if ur tint was a little lighter there'd be another shade of grey in there to mediate between the black and light silver. U know what I mean? So it's not jus an uneven amount of two colors. There would be more of a transition and flow to the color scheme. But I didn't mean to make it seem like I didn't like ur rims. Because I do!! Lol sorry. I'm an art major and I learned about design and color last quarter so I guess I'm still in art mode :X but I'll stop now haha

Yeah, I gotcha. I would have liked it if they were a little gray, I said 20% "Like my tints." and I thought that would be slightly gray for some dumb reason lol.

More than a color imbalance issue I'm starting to think the cops might pull me over because it's pretty dark. I feel like more people are getting really close and slamming their breaks on because they can't tell I'm stopped till they are 20 feet away and can see the brake lights, but I might just be paranoid. Hopefully the LED's will fix that.

I have LBC's taillight overlays. and you wont get pulled over for them. it's still really light once u put them on. in fact my MOM got pulled over on the fwy and he didn't say anything bout my tails. just my window tint & front license plate (my mom got away with a warning lol) I plan on getting my tails painted darker... Overlays is just a PITA if u ask me, painting is the way to go. much cleaner look...

What does PITA mean? And I don't want it super dark. I jus want to dim the red a little. I really don't like how red it is -.- but I know there's a 30% (lighter) and 60% (darker) right? I wanted to for a 60 but I'm scared of it looking weird on my car :/

yeah it looks nice on your car cuz your car is like a light silver. But my car is dark slate or whatever and i feel like the smoking out of the late will look weird. so i'm just a little worried. But I supposed I could just remove it if I don't like it. Also, do you know if I can install without the removal of the taillight? Cuz I saw bluebatmobile's overlays and his installs are just to dip it in soap water, lay it on, and squeegie out the bubbles. but i saw LBCs tutorials and i have to completely remove the light :\ so I was jsut wondering what you would suggest

its really that not hard to remove the tails. i think its easier because you have to heat and stretch the film. my car isn't silver its precision gray.

Wow never realized that. I keep looking for 19x8.5 and no where can get them for me so I decided to go with 18's. Do you think 18in Cuzcos would still look good?

Edit: you posted again with more pics haha thanks
2nd edit: have you ever had problems with the 50 because of your tail lights?

Thanks

I think they would still look nice in 18", but I wanted 19 so thats what I went with.

As for the tails, I havent had problems with the Jakes. I actually got pulled over a few months back because I had just transferred my title and had new plates that I had hadnt installed yet. The cop asks why he pulled me over, I say tail lights? He says no, your tags are coming back empty, this car is stolen. No mention of the tail lights. I am however going to strip them soon and re-do it with tint film, a little lighter than what I have now. Its just too dangerous, I cant even merge on the highway during the day because no one can see my turn signals.

Yeah I know what you're saying I have had people fly up on my when people make rolling right hand turns, makes me turn faster because I don't want to get hit haha.

Did you keep stock lighting or did you put in high power bulbs?

Stock lighting. I didnt see the point in buying LED bulbs to just make it a little bit brighter, I honestly dont think it would make that much difference. Im eventually planning on buying the blacked out eBay LED tails and then laying a very light tint over them but thats down the road a bit.
