i smell gas when doing 40mph+

lately i get a gas smell when i go 40+miles can't really say where itsa coming from

I'd start by checking all the fuel lines under the hood.

i smell it too near the fuel cap after i drive sometimes. it does it more when its near empty than full though? i always thought it was coz it was hot so it was expanding or something

well what got me scared was that i took replaced the fuel filter like a week ago but the smell started to come a couple of days ago after i pumped gas and then i got the p0440 or some thign like that (leas on the evpa system) then i tightent he gas cap and it went away and didnt show up for lke 2 days now (gues the cap was the fault) but i still do get the gas smell once a while
