i smell burning oil

normally my car runs really strong but recently its been acting a bit funny, been able to chirp it going from 2nd to 3rd quite often, it has about 210k miles and its a single cam with no a/c parts whatsoever, lately i've been running 10w40 due to it being older not sure if its helping but anyways, when i am accelerating quickly i.e. taking it up to about 5k i can smell a lil bit of burning oil but i've never smelt it before i checked on my motor and the only leaks i could find were a lil build up around the oil pan but not sure if this is why i can smell the oil burning. other then that problem when im at a quarter tank or a lil under of gas and i go uphill my car starts bogging down gas light never turns on but its a strange problem, was thinking maybe it could be the fuel pump but im not sure jus wondering if you guys could help me, perhaps if anybody in so. cal has a single cam KA i'd be willing to buy it off of u or take it off ur hands if you don't want it anybody out there lemme know thanks
