One Day is was bored at work so i thought of some crazy ideas that i thought i would share to nissan of america (highly doubt they will read it )so now i will share with you guys. As you guys know people are jumping through loop holes and willing to give there left nut for a chance to own a Skyline in North America. The Current GTR people debate is not a true skyline, etc, etc and to me has move upwards into super car arena (well it shows a 911 turbo up for half the price and the 911 turbo is a super car? not sure what its classified as), looking at nissans two door sporty offerings there is a huge gap between a high trim level 370z and the GTR (370z nismo msrp $40,830 GTR premium msrp $89,850,Quoted from nissanusa.com)Now to me and maybe to some of you the R34 skyline body still looks good, why not re-manufacture the R34 update the exterior slightly, the interior, and the good ol RB series ( swap the intake and exhaust ports on the head so we can drive on the left ) price it between the 370 nismo and gtr and go porsche boxster and cayman hunting along with Camaro SS and mustang 5.0 hunting. Just a crazy thought generated from sniffing MPK all day.

Also new 240sx on a shorten 370z chassis(<--i am sure i read this from google speculations) nice turbo four for base trim and the infiniti g25 2.5 liter v6 for higher trim level anybody? price in rage of the scion ft rs and go hunting, the v6 can go mustang and camaro hunting but i am sure they will make a turbo 4 that will pull the v6s.

now add your ideas to the mix :dblthumb:

WELCOME!

The main problem I see with redesign is that there will never be another true Skyline GTR ever again. You cant bring back something that died and have it be the same or better as what it was. I just feel like the looks of it would be disgusting and too futuristic and there would be disgusting electronics to deal with. Ill admit I didnt like the GTR prototype or even when they first came out. Sure its not a 'real' Skyline but it has really grown on me and now I welcome it. I would own one for dam sure. Its not a Skyline but its a badass Nissan that scrapes supercar status for a good halfway reasonable price. Its a nice idea but these things almost always kill the originality of the first ones like bad sequals to a good movie. The same goes for a 240sx, although a factory turbod 4cyl Nissan would make me look twice.

The GTR would staythe halo to much R and D went into its creation.for example they could give us the lower trims and keep it rwd just to give us the skyline kinds like adding another model to the line up!

Carmakers do not care about enthusiasts anymore. They build either boring, fugly economy cars with mid-range car price tags or super-expensive fast, but gizmo-laden technobarges that do everything for you, but scratch your nuts. The past is the past. It's not coming back. Give up. Find a used car that suits you and never let it go.

Although I think the Miata is one of the few cars still in production that the company knows has a huge enthusiast following and is rather simplistic in its purpose.
I'm hoping the rumors I'm reading about the 2012 model being lighter than the NC (one of the main complaints about the car) turns out to be true. I've yet to drive an NC though but I'm sure if feels like a land barge compared to mine but with more power. :P

When I sat in the new Miata I thought "argh Z32 flashbacks!" They took a pure, nimble, sporty car and made it fat and overdone.

I wish my Cadillac was heavier. I want the pavement to sink as I drive over it.
