LED lights use less power and create less heat...so no they wont melt...

Yes. LED's have lower power and lower heat normally.

But, depending on the car and its lighting test systems, an LED may get reported as being "a dead bulb" since the current flow drops, (the software is changed by the factory when they use LEDs for a particular application).

So, some (many?) replacement LED lights compensate by adding circuitry in parallel (like resistors) to increase the current. This makes the current and power usage (i.e., heat) go back up to "normal" for the application.

Regardless, these do not make extra heat compared to the incandescents that are being replaced, so there should not be any danger of using LED replacement lighting for most incandescent auto applications.

Thanks for all the compliments....it such a simple mod and it makes a world of a difference. Here is are the links for all the changes. Keep in mind the prices are for a pair of lights.

Here is the website that I went to for the lights. It took them about 4-5 days to get my shipment to me.

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...ocity

Here is the link to the specific Driving light bulb. (I only went for the 11 LED option but there is another light with 19 or 27 bulbs)

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

Here is the link for the License plate bulbs

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

Here is the link for the Reverse lights

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

I also switched out my rear turn signals because I didn't like the fact that I can see the amber bulb in the clear turn signal when it was not in use. I personally do not recommend this because the switch over to LED makes the car think that the bulb is out ( since LED uses such little power) and now my turn signal blink like its on crack. This website sells a relay but I personally dont think it's worth it and my be switching back. Plus its a pain to get to those bulbs.

Hope this helps

Ditto links dont work.

I changed my interior trunk lights to LED, my "City Light" the bulb in the upper of the high beam to LED, and my Fogs to LED. I didnt like seeing the yellow glow with my HID headlights it just didn't seem right to me.

I purchased from ijdmtoy.com they have high quality Japanese LED's of many different sizes and configurations, Highly recommended.

I love the new look personally looks much much nicer. Pics to come.

Really LED fog lights. I have to look into that.

I personally do not understand why common halogen lights are used as fog lights in conjunction with xenon. The combination of colors on the road at night just doesn't look right although the full color spectrum is the ideal way to go.

If you could match the color temperature spectrum of the original xenon lights I think the combination would look great. I have seen many Ms with various combination I like the brightness of some of the aftermarket replacements but I would not mess with a factory installed xenon setup.

I use a flashlight several times a day and I know have both a multiLED 7.2V Snap On to match the Halogen that I have used for years. The LED is bright but it's effect on colors is not that great, the halogen has it's downsides LEDs as a sole light source fail to impress me for dome lights. I don't like the lack of light saturation, they cast a wide array of bright light but things still seem dark when you are searching for something at night. Although the color looks great. It is a preference choice.

I really do not understand why Infiniti has not added leds to the tag light. The angle of tags lights yields itself perfectly to led replacement without dark spots.

I am thinking of bringing my classic into the 21st century with some led brake lights. I was contemplating turn signals but I was reluctant because of the load that is required to provide the correct cycling rate. Reverse lights sound like a good idea, how do they interact with the rear view camera?

The forward visible light output is little to none.

I did this primarily just for looks I couldnt get over the fact that my beautiful HID projectors were paired with the 19th century yellow glow of standard fog and driving lights. The low forward light output really doesnt matter to me because the HID's (in my opinion) are so complete in their coverage they overpower the stock fogs and I could barely even tell when they were on/off anyways.

I'm definately loving the look... my neighbor rolls his eyes everytime I pull in at night and he sees headlights coming. We have this ongoing brotherly teasing going on since I brought my M home and he realized his TL didn't get him excited like it used to.

Why not go with white colored bulbs instead of LED? They would give you improved color and usable light output. In the winter my commute includes areas of very dense fog and the foglights actually help.

thank you! I keep hearing LED's for the fogs is not bright enough and not to get them. I don't really need them to throw out all kinds of light, I can barely see them as it is with stock...what do you think of yours? You like LED or would you convert to HID if you had to do it again?

I did mine just for looks and I am more than satisfied. It gets alot of attention at night and I definately think it looks more classy than the yellow stock glow. I wil get HID's later but for now $20 is much better than $120

I agree, I don't need more light, the stock headlights are sufficient - I just wanted to improve looks...so I ordered yours

Why does everyone change their "parking lights/city light" ?It makes you have two different colors, doesn't it? Looks like you have a HID light and and LED light which have different colors....confused at that upgrade...
