i see lots of LS, anyone doing a northstar?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

You can chip tune em, and they are fwd, but if you get an adapter made up.i think the weight vs HP is pretty good.

Wouldn't be much point unless they are a LOT cheaper than the LSx engines. But since you can pick up entire 5.3s for $300, getting one for free is the only way I'd consider it.

Im going to take a shot in the dark and say that the Northstat engines dont have much when it comes to aftermarket support. Where the LS series, christ do you was 260 horse or 2600, you choose and dish out the cash to get it there.

Would be interesting, but the VH45DE is a similar displacement, lighters and stronger motor. You can find them for cheap.

there are issues i have been at the cadillac dealership 4 months now and in that time we have replaced 2 engines, rebuilt 6, and had to get new cylinder heads for 3(all different ones) they have problems with the valve guides wearing out, problems with the rings sealing, crank position sensors going bad in fact if it wasnt for cadillacs we wouldnt have half the techs we do, the pontiacs and gmcs dont break nearly as much. im not trying to deter you just trying to let you know they are junk, the cts direct injected engine may be ok but its too new to tell and would be retarded expensive

i have some friends that are Cadillac techs and they say they pop head gaskets quite a bit. as a matter of fact i work at a ford dealer and just diagnosed a trade in caddy as having a bad head gasket and used cars is too cheap to fix it.
