OK first off let me say one thing. I am a mechanic. But I have never worked on a infiniti before so im just making sure theres nothing special or weird I have to keep in mind. Ive changed steering racks before. I just wanna do the best job possilbe for my friend. It shouldnt take that long considering I have more then enough tools and a rack to lift it. Im also replacing the struts. So if any of you think there is something that might give me trouble please let me know!!!
Being an experienced mechanic, I would say you won't have any troubles.Just double check the condition of the steering rack bushings... If it were me, I would replace them at the same time.
This is my Q45 that he'll be doing this on.I've ordered the bushings already, tokico struts, reman. OEM rack, and 2 new adjustable tokico outer-tie rod ends.
Had a tire blow out and really messed up the front suspension last weekend.

Where did you get the rack and how much? I believe my mom's car needs one but it has 160k and seems to be missing. Don't want to spend too much considering...
