I searched but everything I found contradicted the other. HUD cluster sohc

will a sohc digital HUD work in a DOHC car the cluster is from a sohc coupe and I have a 91 hatch. it seems everywhere I look someone says they switched out the tach and it worked and others say it doesnt work? and if it doesnt work what is needed to make it. -thanks

if it works on a sr20 it should work for dohc right?

This I know for sure.A DOHC tach won't work in a SOHC, and a SOHC tach won't work in a DOHC.The tach-signals are different.I did take a SOHC tach and put it in my DOHC car and it doesn't work.

I do think the speedometer will work. I'm 99% sure it will but I'm not sure..

The sohc tach will not work with a dohc motor. However you can swap the sohc tach out for a dohc tach. Everything else will work fine.

so the speedo and everything will work, and do you know if the harness is the same

Yeah the harnesses are the same.

But harness for Analog Cluster is different then harness for digital HUD.
