Not my car, (family's car) so I don't know everything about the problem, but from what I've seen, it's had trouble starting for the past week, as in it takes 4 times as long to turn over and start. Now it won't do anything. Turn the key and it clicks once and makes no noises/movements. From what I could find through searching, it sounds like it may be ignition or starter, and might be able to start when the car cools down.

The car is currently parked at a Quik Mart and the owner's are gonna tow it unless we get it out of there. Can't really afford to flatbed it either. Owner is dead set on dirty terminals, but I personally came out and cleaned them and it made no difference. This problem sound familiar to anyone? It's a 97 Auto Maxima btw. Don't have experience with these cars, so let me know if you need any further information...

Thanks in advance.

Edito: Went down...found the problem...starter has a bad connection. One of the wires is pretty corroded. Poked it with a screwdriver and it started right up. Mechanics in our area are freaking morons....
