Got in a little accident a couple hours ago.....100% not my fault. slow speed T-bone, it was wet, I don't have ABS, I slid/skid...Anyway, my front bumber will most likely need repaint (minor damage) I was thinkin' that I'd move my license plate so that it was mounted on the lower lip like the front spoiler area. I've seen it done, its definately doable, but how would I fill the two mounting holes that currently hold the plate to the front of the main bumper. I'm not going to do the work myself but I'm just curious what it'll take so I have an idea of how much I'll need to put out cash-wise. And oh yah, also, the OEM paint on the bumper has a anti-rust rubberize - type compound in it...shall I re-do it that way?

SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS TO HAVE DONE IT BEFORE!

thanks - peace. ps oh yah, my canadian mount may be different from you yanks.

hehe

He called us yanks and still expects help.lol

Man you are so screwed. You will need an entire new bumper. There is no way to fix two little holes in your bumper so looks like you'll have to fork out about 300 for that plus paint.

Wait i got it did you try bubble gum? It works really well because it can be molded perfectly to match the contours of your car and paint sticks really good to it. Big Red is the best for the job. It'll cost you about a buck if you go that route.

You t-boned someone, and it's not your fault because it was wet, and you don't have ABS.... I suppose it was the other guys fault for being in your way.. right?! Come on, take some responsibility! You should have been driving slower, it was your fault.

Body filler might work to fill in the holes. (Bondo) But painting it is not very easy if you're not experienced. GO to a body shop, they can fix it....

I was going 70 in a 25 the other day and I was messing with my cd player, then I look up and I blow through this stop sign that shouldn't of been there and smash into the back of this old f*** doing 25. Cop said it was my fault! Man that's some bs!

That's about right ;)

I was out practicing drive-by's the other day.... well, this kid was riding his bike down the street and got in my way, I shot him a couple of times by accident... the idiot should have been at home or something. Totally not my fault, I was also drunk so there is NO way they can pin this on me...

haha reminds me of the time in my first vehicle, following my friend to a bar/ recreation place thing and he was way in front of me down the driveway when i noticed him f*cking around or so i thought. Anyway I speed up a little and then I ease on the brake, this is the part where my heart drops in my gut and cant breath cuz I realize this driveway is all black ice. So I come sliding into him at about 20 and I saw his face in his rearview and he said mine looked like casper, but he was scared ****less cuz i had a huge f150 compared to his little ford tempo. wow what a night.

Wow you need to chill a little you should have thought before you posted this. I was only kidding. You're a newbie and you asked a dumb question. What did you expect?

Anyways just a little bondo filler and paint will fix you right up. Maybe a total of 1/2 an hour of work and you're good to go.

Did you spell your user name wrong on purpose?

Settle down... We're just playing with you. Body filller will solve your problem. As for the accident.. please elaborate. Unless there is some odd ball reason behind it, I am at a loss to try to figure out how it was the other guy's fault that YOU t-boned HIM?! I was just fuc#ing with you a little.. I'm just saying, be a man and take responsibility for you own actions... admit that you were wrong and you should have been DRIVING SLOWER in those conditions. It is your job to drive according to the conditions of the road and weather... was it God's fault for the rain... give me a reason to believe it wasn't your fault... please.

Maybe the other guy ran a red light as he was going thru the intersection, and so he t-boned him. It would be the other guys fault for failing to yield the right of way. : )

Even if the guy was stopped in the middle of the intersection, or running a red light.. or thumbing his own corn hole.. fault will be placed on both drivers if the other guy did anything wrong at all. It's just like if someone pulls out in front of you.... if you hit them... it's still partially your fault, depending on state statute... if you hit from the driver's door back. If they t-bone YOU while they are running a red light.. their fault. If they hit you while pulling out of a driveway or something.. their fault. But if you hit THEM, it is assumed you had time to stop or take evasive action. I was found 10% at fault by the police for a plow truck taking a RIGHT-hand turn from the LEFT lane with no turn signal.. and running ME over!! I was traveling in the right lane, next to him.. he didn't see me and made an illegal turn. Supposedly I had time to react and should have... It sounds lame, and it sucks.. but realistically I can see the officer's point.

Besides that.. in nautybynature's brief explaination he said he hit the brakes and it was wet, and he had no ABS... obviously under those conditions he was not driving within the limits of his vehicle, driving skill, and weather conditions.... it's at least partly his fault..... Oh well.
