Hey guys, I have a 95 240sx and the other day I tried to put in my reciever but ran into a major problem.

First of all I didn't disconect the negative battery terminal so when i started hooking it up of course when of the wires touched. So I knew i had to replace the fuse. I got it all hooked up and replaced the radio fuse under the dash. but when i went to turn it on i still had no power. I pluged the old one back in and still the same thing.

I was looking at the fuses under the hood too and saw that there are two more radio fuses. I checked the one that I have and it was ok. But the seconed one isnt even there its like that whole section of fuses that is listed on the cover isnt even there. I'm wondering if these fuses could have been moved or something. Where are they at for you guys or if they just arent supposed to be there. Maybe theres something else that could be the problem.

If you guys could help me out i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ps: I searched and found nothing.

if your radio never worked before you might need that fuse

yea, i checked that fuse. Its fine. I'm wonderin if it could be a relay but have no idea if it would effect it or how to check them.

Yep, get out of the fuse box. Use a relay off of an ignition controlled fuse and take power directly from the battery.

Try hooking up the radio directly to the battery. If it still doesn't work then it's dead, or you're hooking it up wrong

No. It wouldn't hurt it. Most folks fail to ground the head unit the first time they install one in a Nissan. Bolt the head unit into place and it will probably start working.
