This was posted a while ago, with the history behind it.

From what I remember, it is cheaper for Nissan Japan to send some of their cars to the US to test them here, and then crush them here instead of sending them back to Japan.

So, this skyline is.. or was just a test subject that met the end of its life.

It doesn't have make sense to normal people like you and me. To a large company like nissan doing things the cheapest way makes the most sense. To give the car away nissan probably would have had to pay some stupid taxes(sometimes you gotta love this country:rolleyes). It was most likely cheaper to just crush the car and be done with it.

That's not a bullet hole, it's just a ding. Real bullet holes are much more dramatic.

You beat me to it. And the bullet holes used in the example are from very little bullets, no way the skyline has bullet holes. I guess they could have been BB's.

even if it was a test subject, seems odd they would destroy it instead of make mad $ off of it. Whatever the story is, it's a waste of a great car, that's for sure. I bet the guy in the wrecker was holding back tears as he was doing it, well he was probably wondering why he was crushing such a nice car.
