I was leaving the storage where a friend of mine's belongings are and i wa wondering if it belonged to a nico owner? I was passing a gas station on siegen and we were still in the process of moving things so I didn't get to stop. I thought i was the single solitary vert owner in the area its nice to know there is someone else. Please don't flame me i know there are ways to search but I figured this would turn up a quicker response. I also think I may have seen a convertible240sx.com badge. I was hoping the person who saw this would reply. Anyhow nice to know there is another here even if they aren't on nico. But if not I will find them and soon recruit them. Might have someone to follow me to nopi!!

I don't live in Baton Rogue but if you are interested I have a 92 coupe 240 sx and a 94 vert (red) 240 sx. I also live in the New Orleans area. As you would know it, I suffered flooding in my garage of approx 24 inches. Both of my cars were in the garage being protected from the hurricane winds at the time. The 94 vert only had 54,000 miles on it, and in perfect running order. I was just about to install the manual transmission from the coupe into the convertable. I have done some investigation and the engines have not gotten any water in them since the water did not go above the filler cap. I was able to crank the motor over after the storm and did not see any cloudy oil. I don't want to just throw away these cars. (especially the convertable) I know someone out there can either repair or use these cars for parts. I was thinking of putting them on e-bay but I would rather not go through the time of listing them. Please contact me if you want to see photos. ([email protected])

WHAT! God why do you have to live so far away from me. Shipping would make that much less attractive.

Somebody buy them... that's a no brainer.

ARKE- does your vert still have the piece behind the back seat that the boot attaches too? It's a long strip that attaches to the metal frame behind the seat. The boot hooks into it like a ziplock bag seals up. I could really use that if you have it!

Seriously... if noone takes your cars.. you will easily make that parting stuff out.

There's a guy in Lafayette with a red vert. I've got the only other one (mine's white) in town. I see him from time to time, and we give each other "the nod." It's pretty cool.

BTW, my brother live in BR, and I'm there occasionally (I spent Rita there). We should hook up when I'm in town. I own a completely stock '93 with 88K miles. I've had it for almost a year.

Dear Jones,

Your car looks great but it is my experience that the verts are not as rigid as the coupe. I was able to put my hands on a triangulated strut tower brace that will stiffen up the chassis greatly. That was the one best thing I did to my car.

I know exactly what yor are talking about, I think I have that piece but I don,t know about the condition of it. My top is new and the installer did not do a good job of that joint. I will get back to you.
