Next up i received a few more things, i got my hardware for the fan clutch and the water pump studs. I also received my oil pressure sending unit for the gauge i was going to be running.

When i tried to plug in the TPS i realized that the wire for it was not long enough, so i had to extend that about 6 inches. Thanks Alex

Then it fit nicely!

The fan was fastened to the fan clutch.

The water pump studs went in and the Yashio Factory water pump pulley was set into place.

The Radiator i decided to get was a Koyo N-Flow which looks like this one here.

Once i had the radiator, the fan clutch and fan were put on and secured. Then the fan shroud and radiator went in!

Next came the Samco radiator hoses which required some trimming? After that they fit perfectly, they went on and were secured with 4 ABA Radiator hose clamps.

Here is how it all looked.

I also did a few more things, i cleaned up the coldpipe square.

The pressuse sending unit for the oil pressure gauge also went in.

Thats all for now everyone i shall be updating more soon. On that note check out this Chameleon.

AND This cat!

Yeah i understand that 100% however it still is the most efficient and best cooling. If i was concerned about that amount of power i would just turn the boost up or change the turbo and set it all up for 300hp. A lot of pro high hp cars use the stock mechanical fan setup such as these two right here.

How do you figure a clutch fan cools better than an E-fan? Or is more efficient? Efficient is production without waste... In this case your robbing power to cool the same. I'm all about your set-up its sexy. I was just curious to your logic behind it?

Basically the CFM rating on the stock fan is a lot higher than most (yes most) electric fans. Sure the initial gain is there from the loss of weight being spun by the crank. When the fans kick on there is still drag caused by the alternator having to power the fans which most people dont put into account when they talk about their e-fan setup.

I never had a problem with the clutch fan in the past and i have seen more problems with E-fan setups than i have with the stock mechanical setup on many cars. There sure are good setups for electric fans but i personally would rather spend my money on the most reliable fail safe design being the mechanical setup.

Thanks man, the key is to take your time. From start to this point has been about 11 months. I have not had a ton of time to work on it especially lately, but patience is definitey key. My goal was to do the swap as clean as possible. As well as use high quality parts and make it how I want it to be which is not extremely high hp its clean and reliable.

Seriously this is one of the most refreshing comments i have heard on here. I would def put reliability before horsepower. Oh and i got the greddy intake. any tips on shining it up?

Oh haha, i didn't use anything on it, i just took it out of the box and put it on. I did wipe it off with a towel though in case there was any dirt in the grooves. Maybe its the flash of my camera making it look shiny? lol

Next up i decided to start figuring out the intake system. Since they didn't make an intake specifically for the stock maf (besides the ISIS setup which fit horribly) I decided i would try and make something amazing work out.

I searched around at different intakes HKS,Greddy and Apexi were all looking good and i finally settled on the Apexi super suction kit.

It came with all this here

I also had to figure out how i was going to hook it up to the stock maf, so i bought a reducing coupler which was 3.5"-2.5". That coupler worked out perfectly.

When i tried to bolt up the Apexi filter to the MAF none of the holes lined up. I was trying to think of ways to make some sort of adapter plate for it but ended up just thinking i would get a cheap MAF adapter and a K&N filter.

After putting the MAF adapter plate together with the K&N filter i could not stand the way it looked so i purchased the Apexi converter kit which goes from the stock maf to the Apexi filter. Typically this is used with the stock intake pipe as well so it made me nervous not knowing if it would fit but i figured i should be able to make it work.

This is what i purchased

Once it showed up i put it all together and was messing around with the routing of it, It looked like this would work fine.

Kind of odd looking i must admit, so i tried facing it the way i wanted it to be which is also the way it normally should go given you have the stock intake pipe.

This was an EXTREMELY tight fit but it worked out great, I was even able to bolt up one of the brackets i had to support the MAF.

So this is how it went and is staying, i also put a rubber plug on the adapter since i wont be hooking my catch can up pre-maf.

Well, thats all for the updates as of now. I will be updating again soon i hope!

I'll be back later.
