They do make a kit for the hoses, just so you know.

Why didnt you do any of this while the motor was on a stand?

Please do! This needs to be noted, the only reason i started producing kits is because no one else could find them haha. I will believe you when you post the link

Yeah i thought about getting Tomei or HKS injectors, However i did not want to worry about a tune right now. I was going to buy OEM injectors through Ray but he said they would take months to get. So Deatschwerks it is for now, they recently came out with a brand new line of injectors which is what i got. Most people were buying their stuff when they were just refurbishing them.

I guess i'll have to write a review of them once everything is running.

Thanks Teddy, cant wait to see your new gangster whip.

Sick build. Keep up the great work.

It's nice to see a build thread with clean and clear information about what your doing at the time and how your doing it.

P.S. The ending pictures are great and the bold text helps alot to stand out from the average post. Check my build out and give me some pointers. I just like to get advice on what can be fixed or improved and it looks like you know your s***. Good luck with the build bro and have a cold one for the good work

Love the random pics, very "refreshing" thread.....People normally cut the lower tube to keep the hose from coiling between the engine and firewall. There are a few kits out there (heavy trottle used to sell one) but you get about the same setup that you already have. You use new hoses and a clean configuration, I like.....

Im extremely disappointed in myself. I have 8 million favorites saved for a 240sx and the one I cant find is the ONE kit that was made.

I may not find it today, or tomorrow, or the next day but ONE DAY! lol

Where in Cali are you? Id love to see this swap in person.

Here is after the injectors were installed!

It took me a second to realize that they were facing the wrong way haha, i suppose they would work either way. Surprisingly enough the plugs seemed like they would have ran better this way but i think the strut bar would have hit them, so they went back to the correct way. You can also see the FPR swivel and stock FPR installed.

Then came the Thermostat in the mail from FRSport.

I was inspecting my thermostat inley housing and saw that there was actually a pinhole in it.

So i bought a brand new one, and on went the thermostat and new inlet housing.

Here i was checking to make sure the jiggle valve did not get touched with RTV on the inside. OCD?

Goodnight!

Next i got some more new parts in the mail! New crank pulley, new crank pulley bolt and washer!

While i was still waiting for the front main seal, i decided to start worrying about the throttle cable bracket again. After realizing that the stock bracket would not work with the Top speed S14 throttle pulley i decided i was just going to use the stock throttle pulley again.

I figured i would measure the bracket i had already and figure out where the cable mounting point needed to be. I gave Rich at Xcessive a call and had him make me a new bracket with the dimensions i needed. Here they are next to each other.

Here is the new one installed.

Next up was the crank pulley, the front seal came in so that was installed. Then the crank pulley, bolt and washer went on and were torqued to 110 ft lbs.

As you can see in that picture i also replaced the breather hose with oil resistant blue silicone tubing with a special inner liner from Forge motorsport. Great quality stuff, high price but it should last forever.

I also received my oil pressure sensor adapter from NisSport. Great quality however make sure you check for metal shavings inside of it left over from the machining. Mine went on and all together and i didnt think to check until a friend of mine also bought one and noticed shavings in his so i had to pull it off and check, sure enough there was a couple in there but i got them out and it all went back on.

Time to get back to work, more updates later.

Next came my Intercooler i bought a Greddy LS-Spec.

I also got my Greddy hotpipe and cut the hole out for that

Then i mounted everything up, it all fit together nicely.

Everything was going together well, i did a good amount of research to decide on what cooling setup to do and i have always been into the stock mechanical fan setups so that is exactly what i decided to go with.

More parts came in!

Brand new fan clutch!

Brand new Fan Shroud!

Yashio Factory water pump pulley!

The hardest thing in the world to locate was a brand new stock plastic fan, sure i had one but it had a decent amount of stress cracks in it. I ordered a brand new one through 4 different places and NONE of them came i waited 6 months for this item and still nothing.

Right when i started to give up Matt Hodges at the Carisma LLC told me he could get one for me, i couldn't believe it. He is a great guy and the staff at CARisma are all very knowledgable. Make sure to check out their site and if you need help finding anything ask them about it!

http://CARismaLLC.com and their new site http://www.CARismaStore.com

They build some great cars too.

Matt Hodges is "DuckyD" on this forum as well.

So he did find it for me, he wrapped it up real nice before shipping it out to me (Thanks again Matt!).

Here it was

Time to go bathe i'll be back with more updates soon.

As of now i am planning on getting it running with the stock cams and stock manifold. Later down the line i am going to do Tomei Rocker Arm Stoppers as well as Tomei PonCams that are 256/256.

As far as Exhaust manifold goes i will be getting the Tomei Expreme manifold as well. I have heard good things about extruding and honing the stock mani but for the price i would rather have the Tomei.

Wow, I'm a die-hard KA-T guy, but that is looking like a sweet setup right there.

Pardon me, but if that old Xcessive manifold is for sale, please let me know! e_appie (at) hotmail.com

Wow, that's almost exactly what I had planned as well. I wanted to get Tomei Procams 260/260, Tomei type A valve springs, Tomei RAS, and Tomei Expreme Manifold. I ended up with Tomei Procams 260, BC springs, Tomei RAS, and an Isis manifold. Some deals were too good to pass up along the way.

Yeah the ka setup was great. Everything from that was sold most of this has been going on for 10 months now. Everything got sold back then to fund the new engine. Sorry man but i can vouch for the manifold as being great.

KA-T is great. I loved my ka but i either was going to have to rebuild it for turbo or swap so i decided to swap now.

That sounds like a great setup man, im planning on not doing anything to the head for awhile any further than doing RAS and Cams. The ISIS manifold is good too i hear nothing but good things about it really. Good choices man!

I will be updating more soon!
