SON OF A *****! First 'accident', and it had to be my s13. no damage to the front bumper other than the paint is chipped to hell, but its not busted at all. just now when i came home, like an hour and a half after it happened, i smelled coolant as soon as i got out of the car. so yeah, its dripping on the garage floor. ****@!!!! i popped my hood, and theres coolant visible on the engine bay. everything looked fine, but i dont know. i hit him goin prolly only 15 mph, so i wouldnt think its too much.

i know someone has rear ended someone, what happened with yours??

Don't feel too bad about your accident. Mines worse than yours. I had a 99 Cavalier and was traveling across the state. There was heavy traffic and some moron braked to a stop at highway speeds in the front. I was able to stop, but got rear ended and got pushed to the car in front of me. Luckily my airbags did not deploy, which means I did not hit the person in front of me that hard. My car's frame was bent but not noticible. It got totaled by the insurrance company, then got myself a 89 240 for $2000 . It came with a molded in full Erubuni Shogun body kit, and 17" rims.

It was a lemon at first, but fixed all of the problems and it is just fine. A very odd trade-off, but the 240 is much more fun to drive.

Hope your car will be in tip top running shape.

Yep same thing happened to me pretty much. I was on a busy road making a right and it was raining out so I wasnt going that fast because I know my 240 handles poorly on wet pavement. But I made a right, or tried to, and I hydroplaned and tried to steer but kept going straight so i was only half way pointed to the right and I slid right into the back of an Audi; braking didn't work and steering didn't work, not even Jeff Gordon coul dhave got out of that. Made a huge dent in the back left quarter panel and chipped a little bit of paint on my front bumper. Cost him (I should say the insurance company) a little over 3k to pop it out, what a rip. My car's fine though not really any damage, I was going probably about 10-14. And since Im 18 my insurance from 125 to 150 a month. First wreck too by the way, err fender bender....

Well, my brother got into a pretty bad situation. He has a black S14 and his 98 S14 SR just showed up, we had to go pick it up from the shipping company. We got home and we only have 2 jack stands, not enough to put the S14 front clip on. So he drives is car out to a local auto parts shop and as he's making a left into the parking lot, someone rear ended him at about 40mph. His car's totaled... whats worse, his insurance only gave him 2k for his car, so he bought it back for 32 dollars. Now, he's got an engine and no car. So I took the engine . Bad for him, good for me. Anyway, when he jumped out of his car, the first thing he said was "What DID YOU DO TO MY CAR" The guy was like "I'm SO SORRY!" Yep, not cool. Accidents blow.

my question now has to do with my insurance. Luckily I never went down to liability after i paid off my car, so i still have full coverage. But besides the coolant leak that just started, there is nothing wrong with the car besides chipped paint on the driverside of the bumper. I dont know how much it would cost to repaint, but it doesnt seem too bad. Does anyone know how much it might run? I still have to find out my deductible or whatever. I dont know much about how my insurance works, i just pay for it, lol. anybody care to help me out?

is it that bad you need to claim insurance? if you do claim you're rates will go up... so its a tradeoff. if you think you can touch it up yourself, and get yourself a new radiator(upgrade!) for not much i would say do that instead of paying extra for insurance for the next 2 years... but its a tradeoff

How bad was the other car damaged? have you informed your insurance already? I wouldn't tell your insurance if you don't have to. Pretty much the only reason I would tell them is if the other car is severely damaged. If you are a new driver or relatively young ( < 25 ) your insurance rates will skyrocket (even over this minor accident.) I have had two "incidents" and never informed my insurance, as far as they know I am a perfect driver . When I rear ended someone a few years ago, the guy was cool about it. He has a huge @$$ van and he just got out, looked at it and said, "whatever, it doesn't look bad" and drove away. My car was a little worse for the wear, but easy to find new parts. Whatever you do, if you dad mentions he can fix it and is walking toward the car with a hammer and a pair of lock pliers, STOP HIM!!!

I didnt think I had to call them. First accident so i havent been through the whole thing before. his car wasnt damaged at all, 2 or 3 BB sized scratches. on his 2003 galant. im just glad neither him nor the cop were ***holes. the paint looks ****ty, its flaking like crazy. oh well. i dont know what im gonna do now. maybe a new radiator, we'll see, but maybe i can hold off till after i swap my 5spd in. cuz thats what im concerned about...i cant wait to go over 45 mphs and out of 2nd gear, lol.

If you're leaking coolant, and it's rusty, GET A NEW RADIATOR. Cooking is not something you want to mess around with.

it wasn't really a biggie, i mean we didnt even get the cops involved. I just gave him my claim and we were off. he was nice about which was cool, said he worked for an insurance company so he knows how it is. Still pissed me off though.

Doesn't look too bad but you do need a new radiator. Koyo time?!

When I rear ended some guy with my b13, my passenger side was messed up. The dude said he was ok at the accident scene and two weeks later, my insurance company tells me that he was injured and had to pay him $2000 for him and another $2000 for his rear end. It was only an Accord.. :P

I love my b13..

You should have hit him harder and made him suffer. Accidents suck period. The damage wasn't too bad. How is the bumper support. If you radiator is cracked or brake you can upgrade or you can get one from the part/equiptment section for dirt.

My radiator is like bent but hey, it still drives.. I'm thinking of selling it for like $500.

Anyone want it?! It's a '94 b13 LE 4 door. It has 71k original miles on the GA16DE. It has front end damage and driver side rear quarter panel.
