I rear ended a guy and now my head light is broken

ok i have a 1992 240sx coupe, and I rear ended a guy today in the rain. my brakes locked up and i hit him, no damage to his car but now my driver side headlight won't go up. I can move it with my hand with no resistance so im guessing the motor is dead and needs replacing. some one please help me. is there something else it might be. its it a combination of things??

So do you turn the motor knob and it goes up & down? or do you literally just grab the headlight and can move it up and down?

If it is the 2nd one, your headlight assembly needs to be replaced since the rod holding it is probably out.

If you can turn the motor knob and it gives you full adjustments, the motor is out, because if it is powered, then after a couple turns, it will automatically make the headlight go down/or up. You can verify this with your passenger side.

maybe the rod popped off and may just pop back on? i dunno. give it a good look over as all the stuff that can break is fairly easy to see under there.
