i really would like to know whats happening

i recently bought a nissan pulsar ga15de and i realize that every day i need to check my over flow tank, the car hasn't over heated cuz i check it very often, and depending on how u drive it can empty the overflow tank in a day and a half or less, also i also realized that it has this mucky substance in the radiator which collects on the radiator cap. the last owner of the car claimed that the radiator and water pump was changed a few months ago. i really need some help on this u guys.

Have you tried flushing the system and bleeding it properly. Normally black soot is a sign of headgasket failure.

You should probably fill the radiator after getting it flushed. Not just a drain-n-fill but a actual flush of the whole system. Then go from there. Also do a compression test to see if you might have a small leak somewhere. The substance might just be condensation or scale build up.

well its not really black its kinda goldish in color somewhat like clay. but i'll take ya'll advise tomorrow i'm gonna get it flush and see what happens, but i don't think its head gasket cuz the car has not lost any power. i'll let u guys know what happens. also for some reason the car has now been operating properly now cuz the water lever has not dropped or the passed 4 days but i'll still get it cleaned.

i did the flush yesterday but this mornin when i checked it it had that same oily substance someone told me it could be my headgasket is starting to go bad what u guys think
