i really want to get into soft-core racing

as the title says, i just want to get some experience on the track to learn car control. couple of problems though. no events by me, the only event requires experience beforehand. grrr i really want to have fun in a controlled environment.

anyone in west michigan know of any auto-x events or open track days at anything but a circle track?

Not sure if there are anymore beginner openings... but http://www.wmhm.org is a great event at Gingerman Raceway.

I'll be there in my turbo miata.
