Are both radiator hoses bloating, the hot and cold lines? What type of thermostat did you get?

Have you checked the condition of your heater core? (Do you get good heat when the temps are where they're supposed to be?)

Both hoses are swollen haven't used the heat. But the floor isn't wet. The AC blows cold.

Wow. Weird.

I don't know. Possible the thermostat was put in wrong? Pass through hole thermostat clogged?

Something else you can do is to wait until the car is completely cooled and then take the radiator cap off. Start the car and watch the coolant flow through the radiator. You can do this for a few minutes before the car comes up to temperature, you'll start to see the coolant rise as the temps increase.

Does it actually move and flow? Or does it start rising and pouring out right away?

possibly thermostat, or maybe wrong cap? too high pressure maybe? pull thermostat (cold) and drop it into boiling water, if it moves it should be fine. but if both are bloating I would think the wrong pressure on the system

u may have air pockets in the system. try a flush to see what that can do. thermostat sounds like a possiblility too. a high pressure radiator cap would actually rise the overall boiling point of the coolant in the system therefore overheating is harder to get to.

First when you replaced water pump was system flushed prior to new pump going on?. Was gasket placed on the right way? second was the system properly bled of air, somewhere by the thermostat housing will be a small bolt or hex grub screw to bleed the system of air also possibly 1 on front of block &/or head. If you cant find one, remove radiator hose from thermostat & hold hose above height of radiator, then fill untill water just starts to pour out top of thermostat housing look for air bubbles. replace hose to thermstat, & remove top heater hose from where it enters firewall & hold it above height of radiator, fill with water untill fluid runs out heater pipe (make sure heater tap turned on) then have some one crank over motor (dizzy disconnected) look for air coming out, keep pipe topped up with water, when there isnt any air bubbles visible replace pipe. then look for grub screw on head/thermostat area open and repeat process untill no air visible. replace. fire up motor and look for hoses bulging if no bulging fine. If continues then either radiator recore is necessary or ther is blockage around water pump, if you were observant while someone was cranking motor on the bleed process water should've been pumping well. if not then remove pump and flush system, replace. to check radiator remove it then backflush with cap on if ther is good flow then radiator is fine if not then your up for new radiator. Even when they've had antifreeze they can still clog up. hope thats been helpful for you.
