Hello folks,

I know someone on this site has to have one of these! ;-)

I recently bought a little 1991 Nissan Stanza with the transverse KA24E motor for my mother-in-law as a "mechanics special" car since they've been having some pretty rough times lately. The car is in nearly showroom shape, with no rust above or below. It's spotless. The car had been garaged for a long time, and was not being driven because the head gasket was blown at 83,000 miles. After removing the valve cover, I discovered that two of the head bolts were barely tightened down at all. I was nearly able to remove them by hand. This I presume was why the head gasket had apparently blown in the first place. I've since replaced the head gasket, all of the bolts and torqued them to the proper fcatory specifications (61 ft/lbs) using the standard two-time torquing procedure. I'm proud to say that the engine now runs, has great compression, and is otherwise ready to go, all except for the following:

Long story short. I pulled a stupid when I pulled the engine apart. I didn't make note as to where the various emissions control vacuum lines ran from the solenoid bank near the canister to the engine. There are 6 little tiny pipes that run along the side of the motor that go to the various intake manifold devices, and there are 6 more corresponding little tiny pipes that run along side the 4 emissions control solenoids. However, there are currently no little rubber hoses interconnecting these two sets of little tiny pipes from the engine to the solenoid bank. If I had my head about me when I took the car apart, I'd have snapped a couple of pictures before removing said hoses, but I was in a hurry to get the engine apart because I knew this was going to be a long job when I started.

Unfortunately it seems that every emissions / hose routing diagram I've come across thus-far has very poor representation of these lines and where they go. And this is where I sit.

Let me preface this question by saying that I have no intention of modifying the cars original emissions control systems, and I intend for everything to work as it did originally from the factory. I have replaced all of the older brittle vacuum hoses with fresh, brandy-new vacuum lines, except for these 6 going to the variuous control solenoids.

Does anyone have a "good" working vacuum diagram of these hoses, or better yet a good close-up photo of these lines from under the hood of their own little 91/92 Stanza? I would be very appreciative to anyone for any help I can get in this matter.

Have a great day folks, and thank you in advance! ;-)

That's a tough one since we don't currently have a Stanza FSM on hand. I would check out the U12 Stanza/Pintara forum on NICO to see if any of those guys have some info that can help you.
