I remember the 67 442 fondly. Everytime I drive one of those cars(rarely now), I am reminded that nostalgia and a current Accord are way more powerful than memories of the old cars. I have to have brakes and handling these days.
Probably doesn't matter these days, but 67 and earlier were all pre-emission controls. 442 and Buick GS were sleepers. 1967 390 fastback Mustang gt was interesting, if a little nose heavy. Front disc brakes were rare and advant guard technology! Steel wheels and bias ply tires ruled the day.jamesmost wrote:grill too.. been looking at alot of classic american muscle soon to purchase
me too intimidated by sweet paint jobs, thus had to drop the coin did everything else to make my car better than new.my office is by the Meadowlands Arena and i live near Kennedy Airport.yes we should have a meet. I tried to put one together but, failed.Did meet with Louie once and rob swicki oncePeterofdevon wrote:Damn James!
This is great! You have to report on how it feels to drive such a beauty. Sometimes, while driving/parking my blue 94 (the paint's a 7/10, mechanically 9.8/10) I feel a little intimidated say having it next to a new S class or 750iL. I fantasize having it painted---
Remember that idea to have a NY/NJ/PA Q meet in New Hope---I think we have a reason for it NOW (you're in jersey, right?).

They were later, after 68.captainluigi wrote:so the 455 Olds BB of the earlier 60,s aren't worth a mention eh?

The first Hurst and later W30 were the nueces back then, and very rare.
Well, that makes it a curiosty and not a driver. Kind of sad.jamesmost wrote:swsaw a 1968 w30 convert sell for over 100k on ebay
