Its cool. S14 trannys are a a joke to take out!

At lest on my first pass i got an ok time for my first run Ive ever done in this car . r/t .68260' 2.388330 6.6601/8 10.156mph 70.731000 13.1461/4 15.691mph 88.65

After I rebuid my trans Im going to take the 4.08 ring gear out of my r200 and put it into my r200v I dont like the J30 final drive.

You're weak mang. I'm on my third transmission. You got to be more forceful if you want to be real parts breaker. Nissan Motorsports offers the 4.64, as well as a 4.36. 4.64 would suck on the freeway though.

man was is a full moon last night or what cause i did the same thing as you technoman at the track at gainesville.fl on my first pass came out of the hole hard and it seemed like i was still spinning the tires well into third, LOL i was thanking damn these tires sux, then i just gave up after i hit 4th and it went to redline i was like something is not right, well all and all heres what happened. smoked the ACT clutch that is like less then 3 months old. and i also no longer have a 5th gear. whats up with that. i mean no grind or anything, its like there is no gear the stick will not even go near the slot, like it was a 4 speed and in anygear if i gas it hard anywhere from 2500 rpms up it just slips all the way to redline.... why cant anyone make a streetable clutch that will last.....:thinker

It was real cold at the track Friday night here in Orlando. Machines dont like to be abused when there steal parts are cold. 8)Plus I was running 110 octane and my motor was sucking in 40 degree wet air so one wrong miss to 3rd took out 5th syncro.

My pro tek warrenty will pay for the new transmission! this is my 3rd transmission! :ylsuper

WHOA...those are my times!!! :yl super Oh yah my clutch is bout to go out too...NE suggestion for a new clutch?

I use a star spec and Its great! I havent had any problems with it cost around 250.

Anyone got any ideas to what I can say to my warranty company about my blown transmission? I need an excuse! I took off all the mods like my intake and stuff covered my header with the stock mani cover don’t worry it will stay. I’m not worried about the dealership I’m worried about the inspector that will come out and approve the claim.

if you want a good clutch that is good and better than the oem one...get an XGREDDY it is only 100 bucks! and it lasts a long time..

Yeah at least these trannies are easier to swap then a battery, but i just want to know what does a stock 91 and up 240 run in teh qtr. and what are you guys doing to run low 15's? pretty good for the soggy little K.

what would the difference in mph be at 75mph with a 4.08 gear as opposed to a 4.64 gear? graci

I dunno1 I think it would be a 7 sec car in the 8th mile.but not very good in the 1/4 gear is way tall.

I have the nismo 4.64 gears in my 92 coupe, ran them since last year, revs 400rpm higher at highway speed, didn't notice any real difference in fuel ecomony though, believe it or not. I went to the track ran 15.2 on streets at 89mph, car laid down in fourth, needs more top end power to better take advantage of these gears. this was with pdm cams, I now have jwt cam and ecm matched for these gears and the rest of my setup, can't wait for spring to try it out.
