so i found it on craigslist for 80 bucks + it had a HKS actuator to boot, not bad right... i checked it out looked good so didn't bother looking up the part number i would do that later. when i got home i looked it up i found 2 part numbers on the center section as follows:

14411-91F00 = s15 6MT transmission Spec R turbo (cool right).

466541-4 = gt2560r (very cool as well)

so which one is it or are they the same? it's missing 2 bolts on the back of the compressor housing, anyone know a good place to get parts for these? also must the BB turbo's be water cooled?

either way i got a sweet deal on a turbo. my super jdm ebay t25/28 needs to go in the trash and stop smoking lol.

heres some pics on the first one you can see the piece that's missing

Seems like there is always a lot of confusion with those silvia t28s. I read so much stuff about it when I bought mine that I still don't even know whats true for sure. Does it have a cast wastegate divider in the turbine housing? If so that means its the better s15 one. I've read that the auto transmission s15 ones do not have the divider or inconel wheel (like my s14), but they are both still called gt2560r?? Idk, google gives quite a few results if you search those part numbers but there are so many contradictions.

Also the BB turbos definitely need water more than journal bearings. BB's take less oil to lubricate them so they will need more help from water to assist cooling. But if it has a water cooling option, why not use it no matter what; its easy enough and its only going to help ANY turbo.

As for the missing bolts, just take out one you have like it and go to any hardware store; they should have them or something that will work.

ya it looks like their exactly the same thing.

mine does have the divider wall sweet.

ok so water cooling i guess ill get to searching, the only reason i didn't want to do water cooling is just the added complexity.

the 2 bolts I'm missing held on a small metal piece on the back of the compressor housing there should be 3 on there now theirs just 2.

I see what your talkin about now. I would just get some scrap metal and just make a new one. Make sure you use the right one as a template though, if you do it that way, because I think those plates are different lengths.

Running water really is pretty simple though. Some people have pointed out different lines to use for feed and return on here in the stickys, but i just found a random water line, cut it and ran 3/8 hose from each new cut end to a side of the stock metal lines on the turbo. Seems to have worked fine for as long as I've run it.
