Paint the whole cover... and then sand down the top of the letters.... it comes out flawless!1991S13 wrote:What is the best thing to use to cover up the lettering so they don't get painted. I heard vaseline, is there any other ways?
I bought a matching color can of spray paint at Autozone. Matches pretty good. I took my valve cover to my friends house and used a fine wire wheel to get all the paint off the old valve cover. Bought a cheap can of primer spray paint i think it was 99 cents. Regular matching paint was about $4 for a small spray paint can. I had the high temp clear coat left over from another project at my house wich can be pick up for under $5. It may take sometime with the wire wheel and waiting for coats to dry. It can be done for under $10. Its probably a good time to change the valve cover gasket too while you have the valve cover off.jdmfreak wrote:Soooo...How much for everything

Anything else I missed?
You should do each one a different color...or is it a 4-banger?rousie13 wrote:Its a fun project. I did it when I had my 240. I'll do it to the taco. haha

On a side note, did you use to own an NA Z32 and be on tt.net a few years back? Your name looks familar.
Yep, I haven't been on there in forever though....to much drama and BS. NICO is the place to be. I love the sparco's too, very nice, light and functional. I just put in a Sparco Color2 steering wheel yesterday to go with everything.Bobby12many wrote:I remember your car Always hated the tail lights Loved everything else, especially those red Sparcos
