that proly explains the erratic idle, hks cams dont idle well unless you have idle at 1k rpm, my buddy has some in his ca and below 1k the car tries to die.im guessing they are either 256/8.5mm or 264/9mm cams, proly the latter considering how much work was done to the engine.

Guys, can I ask a stupid question... I haven't been able to find the answer on NICO or other forums...

I want to add a little "Bling" to my engine bay... so I thought some high-temp engine enamel on the valve covers would be sharp! Obviously removing the covers isn't hard... but putting them back on leads me to a couple questions...

What are the torque specs for tightening the valve covers back down? Also, where do you get new valve cover gaskets? I checked out McKinney, Phase2motortrend, etc... no luck? Can I just reuse the existing one assuming it comes off clean?

Thanks!!!

the valve cover is held down with a philips head screws so it was not hard to take off one hand twist and they all came right off

the gasket looks like it can be easly reused imo

all i found is a full gasket set and i really dont need all of the gaskets yet

now i should be able to tell wut cams they are from the dyno power band right ? and then i should have the cam gears adjusted according to that

and yes HKS made eithe a 264 or 256 only i already called them

thats the injector`s resistor and its wired up in the harness

if u notice the coils are all numbered ?

every thing on my car is like that all the plugs is marked no clue why the japs did that but it looks like they made this whole harness out of scratch
