I never knew that Infiniti has an EX25 for sale in China!

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Isn't it amazing that Infiniti is selling this EX25 and G25 in China? Please read the following article:

You may need the Google translator if you do not read Chinese though!!! :-)

I searched the Infiniti website for the Chinese market and found it.

The EX25 is apparently not even sold in Japan and is really done for the huge Chinese market. It was introduced there apparently just a couple of months ago. It is also a V6 (the same as the Nissan Teana) and it has a 7 speed transmission. The only thing is, it does NOT have AWD. Only the EX35 has AWD. I cannot find any performance data though.

Isn't it weird that Infiniti is doing different things for the different regions? I know that in Europe they have the EX37 with 7 speed auto transmission already. I wished we had that here in N America:

actually i knew they were selling the EX35 in Taiwan, i did not know they revamped a EX25 for China.

and actually they do sell the EX in japan, EX37 a la Skyline GT370

interesting, G25 and EX25 dont sound right though, as in, it's rare that they made a whole different line for the Chinese market but left the EX35 in the Taiwan market? that generally does not happen.

very interesting, nice find!

You would be amazed what the Chinese market looks like. Spent 10 days in China back in '06. Saw several BMW 718i. That would be the big 7 series with a 1.8 4 cyl engine. Lots of wierd stuff but that one was the biggest oddity. The big cities have a lot of nice cars (Lexus, Benz, BMW etc.) but usuall with small displacement engines. What was THE status symbol? Harley Davidson. Buick is also VERY big on the want list. Told goes back to the 1930's.

Interesting. Dunno if true but my dealer told me Infiniti is bringing the G25 to the U.S. sometime later in the year. Apparently to compete with Lexus IS 250.

Maybe it's a stupid question but is the EX based on the Rogue?

actually no. I know alot of ppl think that cuz it's the most economic method of wrapping up cars.

3.2 Accord = 3.2 TL (different ECU etc etc)RX300 = Venza/dropped370z = G37

ACTUALLY turns out the EX is based on the G35/G37 platform. increased about 3 inches longer and 4.8 inches higher.

So no, the Rogue is not related to the EX.

With a turbo. So it seems.

Maybe that engine will find its way to the EX. I think the G is going to be a guineapig for this engine and its popularity.
