I neeed help ASAP

Well guys i have a problem my 240 is not starting, its not turning over. I checked the fuses and the battery. Its not even turning over when i turn the key its nothing.Could it be the saftey switch, Starter, or the altenator. I know the motor is not blown or anything like that cause i was driving it but then when i parked it and came back 3 hours later it wasnt turning over

Sounds like a bad starter to me, have a friend hit the key while you tap on the starter with a long scwewdriver or something. Sometimes you can get the armature inside the starter to rotate off the dead spot that is causing your starter not to function. If that dosent help break out your multimeter and check for voltage while your buddy hits the key. Either way the starter is probably bad. Hope this helps

I swapped the starter out and still nothing i check the voltage too it seems ok.

Did you check both wires, signal and constant? Can you rotate the motor with a wrench by hand? Auto or manual? Is there water in your oil?

Dude it was the clutch saftey switch or nuetral switch(its manual lol) the moron who previously owned it drilled a hole through it and he came up with some bs saying that it was for saftey reasons so i just put a nut there and it starts up like a champ

yea man, but now i found out i got a rod knock like no tommarow. so im just gonna buy a rebuilt new motor. BTW how long do they go for?
