I Gotta hatch with an RB20det,and I think I should choose an inline6 lsd instead of like a KA or SR or J30 lsd,So Im considering an r32 or r33 lsd.Recently I found out that the Cefiro's came with r33 engines tranis and LSDs,will that work too? Cause I can get a Cefiro lsd for dirt cheap...Any suggestions? Im goin ape**** tryin to figure out which one I should go with

Just get yourself a TOMEI or KAAZ clutch type LSD and be done with it. It will hold up, and lock great for a long time. They are made to take a beating and have been used in 500+Torque cars with no problem. If that doesn't make you sure, consider that JGTC cars use those and Quaife (sp?) helicals to get the job done.

for a rb20 i dont see the need in gettin a KAAZ Clutch type LSD which is gunna cost ya a TON unless your making crazy power. Im running a j30 VLSD with zero problems on my rb30det setup. I dont get traction either way but both tires spin together. just when u get the VLSD change out the fluid before u install it in your car and it will work good for a long time

My J30 diff lasted a couple years, its hardly even an LSD anymore. That said it was a great bang for the buck upgrade!

I'm using the R33 vLSD that came out of my half-cut. No problems, no care!

Verify what gear ratio the Cefiro donor had - my 25 GTS-T came with a ~4.12. I do not know about the RB20.

They're the same LSDs, no such thing as a diff made for the number of cylinders in your car. The only difference is the final drive gear and whether it's a viscous or open diff. Unless it's at least a viscous then you're wasting your time and money. Unless you wanna change the rear end gearing or something.

I used an R33 diff because it came with my front clip. If that wasn't the case, then I would have opted for a clutch type LSD and bypass paying for a used viscous LSD.
