I took my car in to get the timing chain done; when I got it back it idles like ****. When you let it idle it goes from 700 rpm to 1500 rpm and back to 700 rpm then back to 1500 rpm, then it dies if you don’t give it gas. They said that they put it on right, and they still can figure out the problem. So what could the problem be, or suggestions.

Im having a similar problem except it doesnt die, it will go from 700 to 1500 and then shake real bad like only 2 cylinders are firing.

I was told it is MAF related. Unplug your maf and see if it stops it. But dont drive it like that...

What else can it be if the mafs and tps are good.
