Hi guys, I was referred by a friend to come check out this forum and said everyone here is an amazing bunch. I'm asking for your help to achieve my fathers dream, he wasn't born into riches and lived on a farm for most of his life but as a kid he fell in love with JDM and F1. He set out a goal to get him self a skyline but was never able to. He had to give up his dream, he works 2 jobs to help support me and my brother but was never able to put money aside to save up. I started to save up money and raised over 1K to buy him his dream car. So I'm reaching out to you guys to see if you can help.

Hi MorePower, welcome to NICO Club!

What state are you and your father in? I'm hoping not CA... There is an additional $10K-15K on top of the Skyline purchase to make it CARB legal for street driving in CA. It smashed my dreams. Maybe I should have done a go fund me. :) Please say you're in another state!

Hey guys, while you're at it, I've always wanted an E-type jaguar, but I'm a little short of cash this week.
Can anyone help me out? Thx.

Fortunately we are currently residing in Massachusetts, so we got that going for us so far.

Cool, you're close to Canada, Albany even. I bet you can do the import yourself without too much of the over head cost of using an importer. Check out Craigslist for Albany listings.

I always check the Albany and Boston Craigslist, I even go far to check Pennsylvania's. As of right now I only work a couple days since I'm still in school but once I finish up I will be able to make more and save up.

I am going to be brutally honest with you. I think if you really want to achieve your goal, you and your brother need to work hard and save up to be able to buy him a skyline. Nobody is going to just give you money, just cause your dad wants a skyline.

It will maybe take some years, but it will be more meaningful because you guys bought it with your own money. Good luck.

Consider what Pento240sx says. There's zero flaming. You can tell he put some time and thought into that post. Best of luck achieving your dreams and those of your family. ;)
