Hey wassup guys, i'm new to this board.. I currently have 1996 prelude vtec but i wanted to sell it for a 240..... I really like the newer gen 240's(97+) but i was wondering how much you guys paid for yours? I'm planning on swapping the sr20det in there, but would the s13 black top or the s14 motor be more practical? thanks again!

God damn magazines. have you checked out how many freaking posts are on this board lately 20,000. i remember the good old days(earlier this year) when there wereless than 1000. now you have to wade through all the bull-**** with new guys wanting the all mighty sr20. (BTW, don't give me **** about being new, i went as cmy240 earlier this year.)_

Sweet, my account is working again. WHOA! It's been like a week and a half or so. Anyway, any SR questions should probably be directed to Daunttless. Check Afterdark, I can't remember the url right now, but there's links everywhere on this site. And yes, he probably read SS like nearly every other Honda owner that's been here lately. Oh well. sr20's is one thing. they are also starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as to how sh!tty fwd cars can be.

correction my car isnt an le but is a base model, but it has a obx power extreme exhaust, intake, lightened flywheel and act stage 2 clutch. all for one grand out of pocket. aint bad, i lowered it recently 2 inches and also painted my valve cover red with white letters. and alot of small stuff to keep it a chick magnet. i got it off a friend and he got in a wreck so i gotta buy a new bumper hood and headlights. but hey i found a carbon fiber hood for 300 a gt-r bumper for 300 and headlights i havent looked for much and i already got a new grill so thats it.
Why's everyone raggin' on people that want 240s? I don't know about you people, but if people saw the potential of my car, and then wanted it, i'd be pretty flattered. I guess you guys want cars that no one wants but YOU. If that's the way you feel, fine. But don't get angry at these guys that want to JOIN us in the fight against Hondas/Acuras. They have inside information that will help our cause! Embrace them like a defecting enemy!

See, thats the thing, they aren't impressed with the cars, they don't want to "fight" against Honda/Acura. They are impressed with the articles they've read in Super Street and Sport Compact Car. They don't like 240s because of the vehicle they are, they just want to hop on the latest trend...
Why else would there be an influx of Honda owners in the past three months?
One last example...From this month's Super Street...
This kid Jay, who has an Integra (every possible "JDM" modification possible) featured in Super Street, this is a quote from the end of the article...
"When I built this Integra, I realized that it was going to be the last Honda that I would build, for a while anway. JDM and Hondas have been exploited to the point where I have lost some interest, and now I want to distance myself. I might build a Kia or a Daewoo. Just kidding! I have to keep it Japanese--maybe a Nissan? "
Well that sure does sound hypocritical...This kid has had two cars featured in Super Street, thats not exploiting Hondas at all...So now since Honda has been raped and pillaged of all diginity and decency they have to move onto the next car company...it is like a plague or locusts, and 240s are on the next chopping block. GOD HELP US ALL!
I don't know about the "fight" against honda/acura, I think its more of a fight against rice, just that most(99.999999%) of modified hondas/acuras fall into that category. Honestly I don't think I'll be selling my honda for quite a while, just that I'll be putting most of my money and effort into the 240sx for now. Its always people who rice out the cars who are just doing it because its a trend, guys who put effort into their cars do it for themselves and because they are true car enthusiasts. Those are the guys who the ricers try to emulate, which is how this whole honda mess got started in the first place. The thing is, Honda is huge in the U.S, there are like a million civics for every 240sx. Even if everyone wanted to jump on the bandwagon, we wouldn't get another honda epedemic, simply because there isn't enough 240s to go around. So I wouldn't worry too much about the rape and pillage of nissans, unless someone found out a way to put an sr into 93 altimas (what the hell?). And about all the honda converts joining recently (the reason I don't include myself in this group is because I still have and love my honda), if they are just guys who're following the trend, trends come and go, and eventually they'll go away too, only people who truly give a rats *** about 240s will be left.
