ok right now i have 225/50/r17 on the stock 03 sport wheels(nexen 3000's great tire BTY), ill be needing new tires at the back soon but want to go a tad bit wider. Can i put 235/50 and be ok, will they bulge out to much. There isnt much difference between the two just want to be sure. TIA

You can run those, but I wouldn't go any wider.

As long as you are not AWD you will be ok replacing just 2, or stagering the tires.

the traction control? The 235/50/r17's are the exact same size as the stock 215/55/r17's, the 225/50/r17's are actually a tad bit smaller. I need rear tires bad though cause there starting to hum .

It's not that the full set is smaller - it's that 2 tires have a different pattern than 2 tires - which is what sets off the TCS. Your rear tires will rotate faster than your front tires...I just don't know how much of a difference the system will allow for.
