I have thought of an idea that will tell us if the screws on the TB have been tampered with.

All i need is someone to provide me the TPS voltage of:

When the car is off but the ignition is on (This is when the car has not been started yet).

When the car is started up (Meaning the first cold start up)

When the car is fully warmed.

And when the car has been driven for a while (Please give me the numbers when the engine is still running.

Only respond if you can tell me your starting TPS voltage.

You will need access to a consult or a laptop with a consult cable to get this info, Or you can do it the hard way and measure with a voltmeter.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays, Paul

im not sure how accurate that would be, theres enough variation and room for error that im not sure this would be a sure-fire way to tell.

Not shooting your idea down, just being the analyst.

Non-offence taken.

But unless Q45tech has any input or dissagreements, then I hope the idea will work.

And just to add to the above post:

Please make sure that your TPS is fully working and AT-CHECK has no problem with it.

The FSM shows you fast idle cam measurements within 0.005" that is much more accurate than the setting of TPS. The TPS is more likely to have been replaced or adjusted than FIC.

I took both Q's out for spin this morning and have some voltage numbers for you from Nissan Data Scan.

(1) and (2) Cold readings were the same whether the ignition was on (for consult connect) or engine had just started.90Q - 0.66v94Q - 0.64v

(3) and (4) Warm readings (engine coolant at 179*F) were also the same whether the Q's had been sitting at idle or after a spin round town.90Q - 0.50v94Q - 0.48v

At least they are consistently 0.02 volts different between the cars!
