I am pi$$ed beyond words and need to vent. Went to my local dealer to get my oil changed. I PURPOSELY parked a little further down to avoid getting my car banged by what seems to be an army of morons who populate this planet.

After I picked up my car and when I got home, I noticed that just above the rear wheel well, a little forward, there is a dent from someone's door. And yes, it happened there today coz yesterday I washed the car and drove all day long without parking anywhere except for my own carport.

So later today I was going out again and when I approached my car I noticed right away that there is a dent. I can't really write what I had thought and said at that very moment coz it would get me banned here but I'm sure your imaginations are sufficient to figure it out. My local car dent repair shop said I have 2 options. Drill a little hole where the door lock hatch is and then plug it with a rubber plug or remove the rear panels and access the dent from there. The Infiniti dealer says that removing the rear panels is a huge job since the seat has to come out as well. So now I'm screwed.

Looks like I'll have to drill a hole so they can get access to the dent. Lesson in this whole story? The more I'm around people, the more I hate them.

Ughhh

I'm sure we all know the feeling...It sucks when people just don't care enough. I swear I spend more time watching my car in a parking lot (if possible) than enjoying whatever it is I should be doing.

I have one in the same spot but a little further back (on a sedan however). I'm kind of hoping it is within reach through the trunk area but now I am concerned after reading this.

I feel your pain.

I had my bumper repainted last year. In October I had somebody back into my bumper and they took off, no note. I had to repaint my bumper a 2nd time and pay for the cost, a 2nd time. It sucked.

Back in December I was getting new tires because the techs at the dealer can't read tread depths (the previous December they told me 6/32" and just this past December they said 6/32" again when really they were between 4/32 and 2/32). That threw me a curve ball because they're usually really good to me because I've gone there ever since they opened up. But I was at a tire shop and the mechanic there got in my car to bring it around into the garage. I was watching the whole time and there was a car parked behind me and my jaw just started to drop and I thought he's going to hit the car. Sure enough, the kid backed it into the other car. I was mad beyond belief but I kept my cool and it's kinda funny now because that kid was so scared. Management was really nice about it and got it fixed for me. I didn't get tires at that time, but because they were really good about it, I'll take it there this spring to get them.

Many people just don't care and/or care less and less these days. It's a sad fact. I also have a door dent from a parking lot last summer but no cameras. No idea who it could've been.

Like I said...the more I am around ppl, the more I hate 'em lol. That's just so wrong. When I hear stories like that, corporal punishment looks better and better each time.

I have already had to get a dent popped out of mine. Where mine was I figured that the front tire had to have thrown it up because it hit right in front of the rear fender well. I don't really know how they got it out, but they did and they did a good job.

Nothing makes me madder than to go to Wally World and park waaaaaaay out there, then when I come back out some jerk has parked right next to me. Makes me want to jam my buggy into it. I would never hurt a vehicle just because it's driver is a jerk.

Had the same thing done to mine. The dent guy did an AWSOME job. As he was fixing the door ding right behind the driver door he noticed a palm sized depression in both rear quarters. I know it was the tint guy that did it too. So I had him fix them at the same time. He drilled the holes at the same place in the door jams and plugged them. If you didn't own a G you'd never know he drill there. Looks like access plugs in the door jams.

When I was in college, I was reading gas meters to pay for my car habit, a 1971 240Z that was my first new car. I had it about a month when this dork in my dorm that drove a 1965 pea green Rambler American put about a two inch vertical dent in my passenger door. When I asked him what happened, he blew me off and said it was about to happen sometime. This set off the terrorlst gene in my heritage and I buried a hatchet into the middle of his hood. I asked him to come outside and see what happened and when he asked why I did that, you know what I said... it was about to happen sometime. Nobody parked too close to me again.

Once...eons ago...I had a '70 Camaro. I parked in a lot by where I worked and I always got there early to get the space on the end and park at the edge of the space. One day I came out and some j/o had parked next to me, where there was no space, so close I couldn't even get in my car.

There was a cop standing on the street by me holding a radar gun. I went over there and asked him if he could give that car a ticket and he said no because it was private property. I looked back at the car and the front tire was on the sidewalk. I told the guy "looked it is parked on the sidewalk" He started walking over there with his ticket book and started writing him a ticket. I looked at the cars windshield and the inspection sticker was expired. I was kind enough to inform the nice officer of that too.

Teeheehee....teach that guy to park close to my car.

Bentrod...LOL. Awesome! For a smarta$$ remark like that, the guy deserves to have his sorry butt kicked into next week.

Looks like the dent guy will be drilling my car today and plugging it later!

I know having a hatchet was weird, but #1 I went to college in Vermont and #2 it was legal to carry it under the seat.

My friend had the worse thing happen to his 04 Maxima just last October. Parked atleast 2 spaces away from anyone else at mall, only to come back outside and find a shopping car smashed into his driver side wheel well. You could tell by the fact that the dent was literally 2 inchs deep that someone had intentionally done it on purpose too.

$400 at the body shop and its good as new, but thats $400 that should still be in his wallet.

He mentioned 'terrorlst' right?

I watched some lady decide the return buggy thing was too far and walk her lazy a$$ half way there and then just let it go down the parking lot. If I had been behind her exiting the store I should have returned the favor with my cart as she backed out... the hating people more I'm around them is a great way of stating it. Maybe we could all go find some nice corner of the earth and settle it on our own? Roads wouldn't be too safe but I bet our parking lots would be damn safe from stupid people.
