So I find that when I'm drinking(alot) I'm more apt to buying things I want, but don't really need.

Yesterday being no exception, I am now in posession of whats left of the Full Race s14.5 that Forrest drove

It hit in the rear pretty hard( ).....

Then went to the frame shop where the damage was fixed...

And now it sits in my backyard. s***ty cell pics until I grab my camera frrom work.

Fully caged.

Tubbed fenders/stich welded bay.

V-mount core suport.

I paid about as much as the cage would cost from Full Race

Plans as of now are to throw a set of Work VS-MX's I have laying around on it, and thats about it so far. I have a RB20 motorset in my garage that will probably make its way into it shortly.

I may go with a kouki front/full kit like I've always wanted, or I may just throw a $300 zenki front and track the hell out of it. Still undecided as it wasn't really a planned purchase.

I figure I'll update this thread as the build progresses, that is after the vert is running of course.

I also wanted to see what my Vert brothers(and sisters) would do with this car to get some ideas as to which direction I want to take it.

I think you should package that thing up and ship it to me. I need a cage in my S14... I would have loved to jump on that deal!

Man, I tend to do that even though I don't drink at all. That repair picture is so unreal. How did they do that? Cut and weld? I'd like to know. I think you should drink more, so you can buy the rest of the parts faster. Anywa, congrats on the purchase.

The repair was done by cutting up the rear clip from another s14 that had front end/frame damage and welding it to this chassis.

An LS1 swap did cross my mind, but I would have to boost it later on if I went that rout.

Anyways, here's a few real pics...

Never realized how hard it is to photograph a roll cage.

Go figure the 1 day it actually rains in Arizona, I can't get my windows up.

The thought of water soaking my sued interior just makes me cringe.

Unfortunently, no updates on the s14. All my time and disposible income has been directed toward the vert in an attempt to have it running by the time the weather cools off.

Good news is the Vert is closer than ever to running for the first time in the better part of a year.

Just gotta figure out 1 coolant line, fab up the coldpipe, and then its off to get tuned.

Still not sure what the overall plans are for the s14 yet, but I know I want to get it running/driving before I worry about asthetics. More than likely, I'll throw in a stock sr/rb, coilovers, and a diff so I can get some seat time.

Well due to my roommate bailing on me, we gotta be out of our house by the end of the month. This leaves me with nowhere to keep the s14, so it's gotta go.

If you know anyone interested, PLEASE send them my way. I have had no interest and really don't wanna see it get crushed for scrap, but thats what it's about to come down to.

Price is negotiable.

I can't do that, It's got a roof on it

Calling my scrap guy tomorrow to get an estimate

Maybe I can work somthing out with Greg to have him store/build it as a NICO car or something. Honestly, I would rather eat the couple hundred I may get for scrapping it(on top of the couple thousand I have into it) to see it go to a good home.

I really can't believe the best offer I have is $200 and an Ipod. I don't even know what kind of Ipod.....

If any vert members want it, I can work on the price a bit

well, it didn't sell

So I'm forced to build it

It's at a friends house right now, and about an hour ago I picked up some new toys for it.

A few miles from my house, someone just so happened to be parting out a built s14.....in the same exact color

So I picked up the full Bmagic bodykit and Origin overfenders(front and rear) from this car.

All for $500

Going over there tomorrow to throw everything on the car.

Pics to follow.....

Yea, If it were an OEM nissan color, that would be one thing....but coming from a completely different make, I got very lucky.

I got a phone call when I was at work today, someone local asking if the car was still for sale. I told her I had found a place to store it and just purchased the aero, so no, it wasn't for sale anymore....

A few hours later I got a text saying If I changed my mind, she would be willing to give me $2000 and pick it up today(without aero). We ended up agreeing on $2400 for everything.

So I'm leaving my house here in about half an hour to go say goodbye. I'm sure It'll be in good hands. The money can be better spent on speeding up the process of getting the Vert running.
