I need to know about the ecu

I need to know the difference in the pins of a black top ecu and a black top type X ecu. I have a type X black top wiring harness I need to put it on a plain black top ecu and want to know if anyone knows the pins I need to switch around. Thanks guys/gals.

you mean the S13 blacktop and the S14 motor? Your question in confusing....they are different ECU's all together. Phase2motortrend.com, and Mickineymotorsports.com have the listing of ECU #'s....

Sorry about that. I am talking about a black top s-13 type X harness that was made to fit a s-14 body. I need to find out what pins I will have to change on the s-13 side of the harness to get it to work on a Non type X ECU. I hope that cleared that up a bit.

Still confused. A S14 shouldn't have an S13 whatever type harness at all. It should have an S14 harness.

It is a harness from a 1998 s-13 that Heavy throttle modified to install into a s-14 body.

I don't think you'll have to change anything to use a non-type-X ECU. It should just work. You should check with heavey throttle though, since they modified the harness and are the wiring Gods!
