I am planning on selling or trading in the brand new fulda extremos I put on my stock wheels right before I bought 18's. I am looking for a good tire to use on the 16's for winter. I realize the Q is not going to perform really well in snow, I just want to have a little bit safer tires on there than summer performance tires. Any Suggestions?

I had good luck with Bridgestone Blizzaks, a serious snow tire, but not too noisy. Don't go for top speed runs with them!

Those don't really seem to have a high enough load rating for the Q.

The 215/60/16 has a 95 rating & the 215/65/16 has a 98 rating. Those seem to be the right size (1st more than 2nd) and provide sufficient load rating.

Yea, I used the Bridgestone Blizzaks. Worked well for me. Mine were a 95 load rate and I have a G50. I think a Y33 is lighter than a G50, so you should have no problem.

Alright Thanks guys! Is there any winter tire that would come in a size w/ a wider footprint? Closer to maybe a 245 width?

No contest Pirelli Winter Sports from Tire Rack. I used a set this last winter in Buffalo and they were awesome. They are a European winter design and benefit from excellent handling as well as winter grip. Also when Spring arrives you don't need to scrample to change them as they retain their handling performance up to 50 degrees
