i need sr20 basic tune-up guide please!!!!!

ive been looking for hours on a basic tune up guide for the sr. ive done tuneups before but i would like to have a print out for resource and to fall back on. ive checked 240sx.org and general google and yahoo searches and couldnt find anything. can someone point me in the right direction. .

Hmmm, tune-up is such a general term. That's a term which I believe shops use to rape customers for everything they got. This is irrelevant though since you're doing it yourself. Let me try to answer the best I can:

-Spark Plugs, gapped to .28 to .30 generally-Fuel Filter, inspect fuel lines-Clean MAFS with something like electrical contact cleaner, some use carb/brake cleaner but i don't trust that on my MAFS.-Check things like timing, TPS voltage and idle speed if it's off.-Change oil (duh)-Flush and fill coolant-Replace transmission gear oil, though this is something that doesn't have to happen often-Clean the throttle body opening with carb cleaner-Replace coolant temp sensor, not too expensive (get the two wire ECU coolant temp sensor for the 2.0 SE-R)

Good one. Check for proper tension and cracking on those too!

If you're really getting into it you can also:

-Bleed the clutch hydraulics, remove the damper loop if you haven't already:http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/vi ... 7/-Replace the front main crank seal, the rear main is behind the flywheel and isn't an easy thing to replace unless you're working on your clutch.

Yep the guy was imho the best character in the gamd and you didnt even get to play him. Sucks 2 b/c that kitana would have owned.

blackieblack, yeah it's pretty simple. There are other little things you can check and replace if necessary. Like knock sensor, clean IACV, but that's getting into more work than just tune-up.

Morph, you actually did get to play as him. I forget what later version it was, but I think it was either the MGS:Source on Gamecube or maybe the VR missions game. I actually chose the name from the original Metal Gear though, way back in the Nintendo days.
