ok i very stumped here,i have a red top SR in an s13my car gets no vacuum under idle, i get boost when i drive it, but it boost extremely late on the stock turbo (like 3800) i've changed all vacuum lines, and gaskets on the intake manifold.the engine currently has 1mm BC oversized valves, 3 angle valve job, port and polish, and a cosworth 1.1mm mls head gasket, previously it was all stock and running fine, until i had to replace the timing chain.what could cause this bad of a vacuum leak

no vacuum? how does it run at all? none what so ever?

did you hook up your boost gauge to a bad source?

did you do a leak test?

do your brakes work?

Bad cam timing can cause problems like this. A vac leak that bad would have it idling pretty high.

there is vacuum when i give it gas, but my boost gauge is reading almost nothing at idle, gauge is sourced off the of FPR vac line, didnt do a leak down, dont have the tools for it, but i have a friend coming over tonight to do a compression test for me

yeah the idle is not high at all, i'll pull the valve cover off and double check to make sure i have the cam timing correctly, it's possible i might have mis-aligned the timing marks when installing the chain, i'll let you guys know the cam timing marks are supposed to be at about 10 and 12 right? and the lobes on the first cylinder are supposed to be facing away from each other right? all while set to TDC

the cam timing was a bit off, corrected it, but that wasnt the problem, the problem was that im an idiot and forgot to set the lag time on my new injectors, i switched to 550's and forgot to put all the info into my emanage for them...thanks for the help guys
