I need some rb20 pointers!!!plz help

well i have a rb20 with a blown head gasket.. and am going to fix it myself is there anything i have to know thats really important before taking it all apart.cause i am new with the rb motors and im in the US so parts r hard to come up on..

do u know how to pull a head off??? all cars are basicly the same procedure to do so...check if heads cracked too...how do u know it has blowen headgasket?

ya i know how to pull off the head gasket off but just never did it on a rb20 and i know i have a blown head gasket cause am overheating and i did compression test, its off

follow the fsm to a t and you'll be fine.

set it up on top dead center and remove cambelt and remove head studs...if u have 0 psi compression its more likely urv broken a ring land and/or bent the head..if u over heated it urv probly cracked the head

it doesnt matter what chassis its in, an engine is an engine and the methods for r&r'ing things are the same.

the procedure is the same for all cars...just some u needa pull the cams to get to the headbolts

check the head for visible cracks once u get it off...no doubt it will be cracked if u overheated it...also run a straight edge along it to check if its bent
