Well, first of all Id like to thank those who helped me the last time.....

Well anyway, I am still unable to get my other computer going...... Brief overview of the situation.....

I got the new (used) hard drive from ebay, and the drive will not take a partition.... It either will get into FDISK, or it will just say no fixed disks available..... Ill assume the HD is fried, it was only $15, and move on with life....

Now, I need to know what you think would be my next course of action.... I have a 68 pin SCSI 3 (i think) hard drive laying around unused.... not sure if I could get an adapter to make that work..... My current interface is SCSI 2 50 pin..... Id really like to get a brand new one, if possible, to eliminate the possibility of the HD being bad and just to get this thing working again!.... I also have IDE capabilites, but I could never get an IDE hard drive to boot or allow me to install windows.....

Thanks for any help, and I am on AIM at elwesso69

hmmm u shure your system has scsi and IDE? ive never seen that unless u have a sprate card, anyways u will probily have to set it to boot to the IDE drive in the BIOS.. but i would say go with an IDE drive unless u like blowing alot of money on SCSI.. anyways go buy a harddrive from http://www.newegg.com or http://www.pricewatch.com OR at bestbuy they had a 40 gig drive for 40$ after mail in rebates..

I have a seperate SCSI PCI board.....

I dont know how to make it boot the IDE hard drive.... It simply wont let me.... I have another IDE hard drive that works with an OS on it, and I still am not sure how to make it do that VIA the BIOS (I am fairly certain I dont have this option, as it always wants to boot SCSI).....
