i'm coming up on a 2005 chevy v6 engine, transmission, ecu, wireing harness, gauge cluster basically whatever i wanna get for cheap. so i wanna dump this in my 87 hardbody, but i wanna know if anyone has some info that would help out... like if theres some kind of kit that would help out or what kind a fabrications it might need. i know theres trucks out there that put carbed v8's in them, so i'm sure this can be done.

Anything can be done. Is it worth the trouble, that is the question.
This is a tricky one. Lots of fabrication. Lots of measuring. Lots of staring at it thinking about how it's all going to fit together. Custom drive shaft most likely, although you will probably want to use the chevy axle to simplify things. Because it is a pickup with 2 frame rails, it can be done, but engine mounts, possible firewall work, fuel delivery, exhaust all must be designed and built using a combination of chevy and nissan parts. It will be interesting and time consuming. Oh then you've got to get the dash from the chevy in there with the chevy harness.
Personally, if I was going to go to the trouble, it would get a v8. Never seen it done with a v6, and that's probably why. I remember someone telling me that a pioneer is someone lying face down on the trail with six arrows in his back. But I frequently ignore my own advice.
