i need some help

so i treid to hook up my tach and there is no signal comming from the tach wire comming from the ecu. does anyone know were the tach signal comes from and what color it is when it goes in the ecu? and yes i know the tach wire is #7.

I POSTED this info already. You have to splice the wire from the plug on the interior dash that goes to the tach to the #7 (yellow/red wire) on teh ECU

no you don't under stand i did that and i am not getting a signal, from the ecu period.

You have a DOHC or aftermarket tach with the wires spliced from under the dash to the yellow/red wire on the ECU????

i have an autometer tach and i am using the cluster from the rb32, i have the wire coming from the tach going to the wire coming from the ecu. and i have the signal wire coming from the autometer tach going to the wire coming from the ecu. and it is all hooked up correctly and all the grounds are good. the rest of the stuff works fine and the eninge sounds great.

That is a toughie. Does everything else on the RB cluster work?? That was my problem. I didn tuse the RB cluster but I wasnt getting a signal from the aftermarket tach or DOHC tach and all I did was splice a wire to the gauge cluster wire and then the ECU and it worked...........

yep everything else works the oil pressure the boost the fuel and the watertemp.
