I need some help....

A friend of mine has an sr swapped pignose hatch (base model) he's trying to get rid of. It has d2 coils, xxr wheels, xs front mount, hks bov, apexi exhaust, completely gutted except the front seats. His car could use a door. The s13 is spray painted flat black. I, on the other hand, have an s14 (base model). I'm riding on d2 coilovers, rota d2 wheels, hks hi-power, aem intake, and about 7500mi on a rebuild. There's a local kid who will give $5,000 for my car right now. My friend wants $4,000 (I could get it for about $3600) for his sr'd hatch (he just dropped about $800 into an safc and tune). What would you guys do? I don't have any pics of the hatch but his wheels are like s13teddy's...

I would say it would depend on what you need the car for, a gutted car is great as a race car but kinda sucks for a DD. If you are looking for a project and like the S13's I say go for it. If you sell yours for 5k and get his for 3600 that leaves you enough to probably get the door fixed or replaced, and get the interior pieces you need to put a stock interior back in. The only other question becomes rust, is the S13 rusted and if so how does it compare to your current ride. I say drive the two back to back and make your decision that way.
