Alright hows everybody doin out there. I am new to doing this hole forum thing . I am lookin for some advice and heard this was the place to come. I recently swapped an RB25 into my 94 nissan d21 pickup. I love it. I just have a couple of questions cause this is starting to get expensive. Its pretty much a stock RB except for a 91mm throttle body, greddy intake manifold, blow off, and the FMIC setup. I have the stock RB25 ecu. Its been giving me alot of problems breaking up in low rpms. I have played with a wide range of spark plugs. It will fix the problem for a little bit then it goes right back to the same old song and dance. This is also my first turbo motor. I figured if i was gonna do it mind as well do it right. So i guess what i wana kno is what kinda problems seem to be the most common when swapping these motors? What kinds of engine management does everybody reccomend? I appreciate any insight anybody wants to give. Any advice as far as making more power and the steps i should be taking to get there is also great. Thanks

Like Carl had mentioned... changed fuel pump?

as well, what fuel filter are you using?

and pop a fuel pressure gauge on that system and check what your engine is seeing in fuel pressure. Might very well be stupidly high.

I did swap out the fuel pump from the truck to the skyline fuel pump and have already put a pressure gauge on it and it is getting plenty of fuel. The plugs dont show that i am getting to much. Do u think it could be more or less the stock turbo and exhaust manifold with the bigger intercooler, throttle body and intake manifold? I have also gone back through all of my lines i did find one with a crack in it so i have checked that also. It makes a consistant like 8.5 lbs. What fuel pressure is it suppost to have. All this started like two weeks ago. i dropped the front of the truck like 2 more inches. I tucked all of my wiring harness so part of it runs inside the wheel house. the clip i had holding it up broke and i smashed my harness between my inner wheel house and my tire which broke a bunch of wires. I fixed all that and replaced the stock ecu and it hasent started since.

with vacuum source off set it to 43PSI. When you put the vacuum source back on it will adjust itself like 38-42 psi range.

check that then move to the boost leaks.
