I need some help.

So right now im sporting a 1979 280zx. Its a bit rough.









The under neith is of course rusty but not the worst.

I have the chance to buy a 10th aniversary black and red 1980 280zx. its clean but needs a new head but its auto. should i buy it and put my transmission in it or should i keep going with what i have.? The plan is to go lt1 with one of the cars anyway.

If the tenth anniversary is in good shape body wise then I would say go for it. Swap trannies and replace the HG and you'll be all set.

BUT DO NOT SWAP ANYTHING ON IT. only 500 were ever built. That's something to be restored and cherished.

if you plan on putting a small block in one, do it in your current car so you don't make us cry

The car is a parts car. Thought it would be better than mine. frame rust is bad. Ill just part it out. Any body want or need parts?

Motorsports Auto makes replacement floor pans and frames rails for the S30 cars. I believe the S130 cars too.

frame rails and floor pans are an easy fix.i wouldnt part that thing out.at worst sit on it till you have some cash to fix it.you can get much more than you have in it with very little work im betting.
