Whats up guys. Well here is my situation. I am running a redtop sr20det with a t25 turbo, external wastegate, custom tubular manifold, stock injectors, stock ecu, greddy type rs blow off valve. I have made some mistakes along the way in this project due to my lack of experience with the sr20 motor. I would like to possibly upgrade to a t28 turbo, z32 maf, 550cc injectors, and possibly an enthalpy or jwt tune. I am ok with the power that my car is pushing, but I would like to at least reach the 300hp range. Is there a possibility of upgrading what I have now to be able to reach this goal, or would changing my setup to the one I mentioned be the best choice. Personally I dont want to pass that range of hp due to te ae86 being such a light car. I think the 300hp range would be perfect for me.

I don't think you can reach 300hp with the stock fuel setup. I think everything maxes out at like 280, and that's pushing it to the absolute limit.

So yeah, the setup you listed will net you a nice reliable 300hp. You will for sure need a tune though to run that maf and the injectors.

He already mentioned the JWT tune. That'll take care of the maf and injectors. :)

Thanks for the info guys...Do you recommend getting a enthalpy or a jwt tune...And as for the t28, should I go for the S15 T28 or the GT2871R. Does it make a difference? I am also debating about changing my top mount tubular manifold to a bottom mount tubular manifold, but I am running an external wastegate. Would this be a problem or will I have to keep my top mount set up? Sorry for all of the questions.

I recommend JWT... Whoa, you are running a T2 setup on a topmount?? I recommend the 2871 over the S15 T28. Either way, all 3 of those turbos are T2 flanged...

yeah, I am using a top mount custom manifold that was already on the car when I bought it. The welds and the condition of it are not that good. Also, It does not look that cool using a top mount with a T25 turbo.
This is a pics of my setup. The car looks a little different now though.

I'd just go with a bottom mount setup. It makes replacing the downpipe MUCH easier..

Well, I want to use a bottom mount but I need one that uses an external wastegate...I found one but it was expensive. I might have to make my own.

Pretty sure the 2871 has an option to not be internally gated. I know the T2 3071 does... Contact John or Jeff at CIP Motorsports. They can hook you up. www.240sxmotoring.com
